Grimlore Games was founded in December 2013 by THQ Nordic GmbH (formerly: Nordic Games GmbH) to develop high-quality, innovative games. Our main focus is on top-down games in the RTS and RPG genre for the core gaming audience. THQ Nordic is dedicated to bringing great games to gamers all around the world. Owning many well-known, genre-leading IPs serves as our foundation for developing new games.
Grimlore Games is dedicated to pushing the limits of art, technology and design, as well as creating products for an international audience.

The Studio
Our office is located in Maxvorstadt, a vibrant district in the heart of Munich, within walking distance of Munich Central Station. This allows our team members to comfortably live in the city, the surrounding countryside of Munich, or even in other larger cities like Augsburg that offer high-speed railway connections to Munich. The area is home to several supermarkets and a variety of restaurants, and coffee and soft drinks are provided in the office, helping make everyday life even more pleasant for our team.
We recently renovated both of our office floors and can now provide a cutting-edge, air-conditioned office space with modern furniture, including ergonomic chairs, electric height-adjustable stand-up desks, and of course, a lot of high-tech equipment. Instead of a noisy open-plan office, we are distributed across several rooms, providing an atmosphere that allows everyone to focus on the task at hand.
The Team
We are more than colleagues. We are a team, which means that many of us spend a lot of time together outside of regular office hours. That might mean playing table football, hiking, bouldering, going to the gym, playing video/board games, or just having some drinks. These activities are never mandatory. If you just want to do your work and then spend time with your family, that’s also perfectly fine, but we will never stop asking you if you’d like to join us.
We have very generous core working hours, providing you with a lot of flexibility to adjust your working hours around your life, not the other way around.
